The environment and the surrounding areas are specific concerns at the heart of the hotel's concept. All uses of natural resources are driven by paradigms of modern conservation theories.
The local community (some 60 families) receives attention and important investments. Part of the Botanique staff is lodged in the Mellos Village, fostering interdependency.
New opportunities in development are offered, such as creation of specialized vegetable gardens, cattle rising and organic fruit. Training and internships are provided and monitores by the hotel and restaurant teams.
